Course Approvals by APTA RI / Application

Rhode Island requires all licensed PT / PTAs to acquire 24 hours of continuing education (in a 2 year licensure term) to maintain licensure.  APTA RI is now accepting applications to approve physical therapy related courses for CEHs (continuing education hours) taken by Rhode Island  PT/PTAs.

Please provide evidence of all items listed on the application such as, but not limited to, course brochure and descriptions, presenter CVs, course evals, and certificate of completion.  Course submitted must have a target audience of PT / PTAs and information provided must be within the scope of Physical Therapy practice.

CEU Locker

1. Set up a Provider account.
2. On your Provider Dashboard, use the large yellow button to begin a course application entry.  Enter all details you have; you can save a draft if you need to return at a later time.
3. Once you have all of your information, and course dates/locations,  you will use the SUBMIT icon on the dashboard listing entry, inline with your course title.
4. The first step in submitting a course application is to choose the state association you'd like to submit to.
5. The state choice will take you to the specifics on pricing and requirements page, allowing you to make choices there.
6. Once you are complete with those choices, you'll submit payment and the course application will be submitted.
7. You should receive an email notice of submission.
8. At this point, the course application will land back on your dashboard listing, and be LOCKED from further changes.
